SUMMARY
The individual in this position will perform work activities associated with chemical water treatment and mechanical
filtration. The individual will supervise work activities of Water Treatment Operators. The general work activities are
oilfield and yard operations, which involve water treatment theory / practice, field equipment operation, and
maintenance and repair.
This position is located San Angelo, TX with travel required to various oilfield sites operated by E&P customers in the
Midland and Delaware shale basins in west Texas and southeastern New Mexico.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Understand basic concepts of water treatment theory / technology and apply that knowledge to operating mobile
water treatment equipment at a wellsite location
• Supervise and train Water Treatment Operators and other field personnel
• Become familiar with HSE safety policies and procedures, employee and equipment manuals, and SOPs
• Assist management with regular safety inspections of equipment, facilities and vehicles; record violations or
potential hazards and take corrective action
• Assist outside contractors, supplying necessary information, and inspect contractor’s work.
• Available for and willing to be on-call on a 24-hour basis
• Obtain special certifications (e.g., CDL, HAZMAT, etc.) as may be required to perform and supervise work
• Assist Water Treatment Operators during emergencies or as may be required to maintain service quality
• Develop competency for all duties of a Water Treatment Operator
• Heath, Safety, & Environment (HSE)
o Demonstrate a personal commitment to HSE, including Service Quality of operations
o Advocate Artesia EcoScience committed to HSE and, where appropriate, client company's quality,
health, safety & environment programs
o Adhere to all policies and procedures in Artesia EcoScience HSE Employee Safety Manual and relevant
regulations/norms/standards, such as OSHA guidelines
ESSENTIAL & PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Essential Qualifications/Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 5-years relevant industrial experience
• 2-years supervising field operations personnel
• Well-trained in fundamentals of oil and gas and/or water treatment service activities
• Valid driver license
