Processing Cooling System Service Engineer

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Processing Cooling System Service Engineer to join the Atlas Copco family in The Northern Region. This is a position of responsibility in an FGAS authorised organisation.
Reporting to the Servicing and Commissioning Manager, you will be responsible for the effective service, repair and commissioning of Industrial Process Chiller Equipment and the associated system components such as pumps, inverters, tanks and controllers. There is a focus on getting the job done right first time within the timescales and budget laid out by the Service Manager. Key metrics are customer service /satisfaction, adherence to schedules and on time delivery of work sheets and reporting. Day to day you will make a difference by…
- Coordinating work with other groups to ensure commitments are met typically on site maintenance, repair and commissioning
- Co-operating with other stakeholders such as OEM Equipment Companies on different time zones where English may not be the first spoken language
- Recommending measures to improve operations and customer service
- Performing complex field service operations that typically present unusual problems requiring strong technical, project management and site operations (eg co-ordination of lifting equipment with sub-contractors) skills
- Possessing a strong working knowledge of HMI Control panels and the subsequent PLC’s
- Recording, compiling, and reducing data for analysis and assist in related assessment and preparation of reports
- Utilising full Refrigeration System knowledge particularly with respect to Industrial Process Chillers
- Working with pump applications in water/water glycol pipe work systems
- Developing your understanding of Heat Exchangers in all of their formats
- Working with system control philosophies and the functionality of sensors/transducers as inputs into control boards
- Troubleshooting and repairing equipment, applying own knowledge and experience
- Working with customers to achieve company goals – this may mean fitting in and around customer shutdown requirements
- Diligently completing all job sheets and necessary paperwork
- Adhering to all Health and Safety protocols
- Completing any adhoc tasks as required

The candidate we are looking for…
- Possesses a C&G Refrigeration Level III qualification in addition to 2079 Cat 1 F Gas Certificate
- Will be familiar with independent (lone working) on industrial sites
- May be required to work away from home for an average of three nights and un-social hours – whilst not the norm, weekend and bank holiday work may be required with time off in lieu awarded
- Is able to logically fault find - an understanding of the basics of Root Cause Analysis would be advantageous
- Has a positive attitude even under pressure, with great customer facing skills and the ability to interface with engineers
- Will be able to prioritise in line with the customer and company needs
