Atoco, Inc. is a startup company founded by the distinguished scientist Prof. Omar Yaghi, the inventor of MOF and COF chemistry. Atoco is currently working on commercializing technologies in the fields of atmospheric water harvesting and CO2 capture, thus well positioned to mitigate some of the most severe implications of global climate change globally. Atoco is positioned where Greentech meets Nanotech.

Roles and Responsibilities
This position will join a small but growing team of marketeers and business developers, managing all aspects of marketing, from product research, market intelligence, and business development to digital marketing, PR, and event for Atoco.
Atoco came out of stealth in 2023 but the product offerings are yet to be released for sales. Right now, we are preparing the grounds for product commercialization across the two business verticals: Carbon Capture and Atmospheric Water Harvesting (AWH).
This position focuses on the atmospheric water harvesting area but operates in close alignment with the Product Marketing Specialist for the carbon capture area.
As Product Marketing Specialist for the AWH-area, it is important that the candidate possess a deep understanding of the water segment at large, while also possesses a comprehensive B2B marketing toolbox, ranging from intelligence, analytics, and strategy in one end and content and omni-channel deployment in the other end:
- Consistently monitor the needs, wants and pain-points of customers and prospects, thereby becoming an internal voice of the customer in regard to the AWH-area. Support the development of a comprehensive customer segmentation model.
- Consistently monitor the strategic outlook and product offerings of all key competitors across key application areas.
- Fully plugged into the Atoco AWH product roadmap, responsible for translating technical features into customer value that resonate with the needs in the market.
- Based on deep understanding of customer needs, competitor offerings and market requirements drive the development of segment and product level go-to-market strategies and plans.
- Drive the formulation and substantiation of a relevant, credible, and differentiated customer value proposition for the AWH area at large and product/application areas in particular.
- Drive and support the omni-channel deployment of compelling messaging and content across all marketing channels (web, SoMe, owned, earned, and paid media etc.)
- Develop and maintain relevant sales collaterals, content and tools that align with the buying process and help move prospects and customers through the sales cycle.
- Based on solid insights and commercial objectives, develop, project manage and report on AWH-specific campaign plans.
- Together with external agencies, create the required high-impact marketing collaterals that make up a given campaign engagement (product videos, infographics, white papers, blog posts, web copy, brochures, flyers etc.)
- Maintain and develop the AWH webpages across technology and applications.
- Support business-development activities in the AWH-area, for instance in terms of maturing and nurturing leads; meeting with prospects at tradeshows and events etc.
- At times, work together with other subsidiaries operating within climate change solutions.
Qualifications & Requirements
Essentially, the Product Marketing Specialist for the AWH-area act as a bridge between Technology and R&D on one side and Commercial functions on the other, translating technical features into customer value that truly resonate with the needs in the market. It is important that the Product Marketing Specialist is comfortable working with both scientists, engineers, and commercially oriented colleagues.
- Master’s degree in marketing, business administration, engineering, or related disciplines.
- +5 years of experience in similar roles, for instance in B2B Product Marketing or B2B Product Management.
- International experience and global professional perspectives.
- Professional and/or academic experience from the water sector, environment, sustainability and cleantech in general and nanotechnology/reticular chemistry and water harvesting.
- Hands-on experience with analytical work, supporting product strategic decision making critical.
- Hands-on experience with the development of B2B sales collaterals (such as technical sales presentations, Product Brochures, White Papers etc.) critical.
- Hands-on experience with omni-channel campaign project planning critical, working across functions internally and supported externally by third party agencies.
- Digital mindset and experience with digital B2B marketing practices, in particular CRM and marketing automation, enabling inbound and lead-generating journeys.
- Creative eye and experience with visual brand compliance across channels and asset development.
- Native English speaking or fluent in English considered critical. Additional languages are considered an advantage.
