Boatman
About
Water boatman is a unit on the water, that takes in polluted or sea water, distills it & either stores the pure water – or pumps it ashore.
The power is drawn from a vertical axis water turbine, driving a water brake which provides the heat for the low temperature heavily insulated still.
The excess salt or pollution flows on through.
The unit makes 1,000 litres a day.
All materials are plastic and so impervious to corrosion by the warm brine. The design life – with occasional cleaning is 20 years.
