Senior Project Manager – Wastewater, Industrial Water

Brown and Caldwell is looking for a Senior Project Manager (PM) to help execute projects within both our Private Sector Enterprise, Industrial Water Service Line (energy, technology, and food sectors) and Northern California Municipal Water and Wastewater clients. Detailed Description:

Brown and Caldwell is looking for a Senior Project Manager (PM) to help execute projects in two business units within the company as follows:

1. Nationally for BC’s Private Sector Enterprise’s (PSE) Industrial Water Service Line for clients in the energy, technology and food sectors.
2. Northern California for our municipal water and wastewater clients.

This is a rare opportunity to lead major projects and deliver exceptional service to our well-established clients.  This senior level position will be responsible for managing planning and design projects for all areas of our water business including industrial water and wastewater treatment, municipal wastewater treatment, infrastructure, potable water, and recycled water. In addition, the ideal candidate will maintain and enhance relationships with existing clients and have a significant role in business development. This person will provide support on a variety of engineering projects including water, wastewater, and infrastructure. Specific duties may include the following:

• Provide project management on a variety of industrial and municipal water and wastewater projects;
• Support sales teams and contribute to business development and proposal development;
• Conduct technical evaluations to support projects;
• Assist with the preparation of technical memoranda, reports, drawings, specifications, and miscellaneous contract documents;
• Support construction projects with office and field engineering services (submittal review, contract document interpretation, inspection) when required.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related engineering field required;
• Candidates should have a California PE license
• Minimum of 10+ years of increasingly responsible, professional experience in the study, design, and construction administration of municipal water and wastewater facilities;

• Accountable for the performance and results of individually managed projects;
• Active business and risk manager capable of successfully planning and executing projects;
• Serve as a key leader in client organization associations, and professional engineering circles;
• Candidate should be versatile and interested in working on a variety projects supporting Engineering Services;
• Demonstrated experience in preparation of engineering calculations and equipment selection;
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills required;
• Demonstrated proficiency in organization and presentation of documentation;
• Candidate should be a self-starter, results-oriented, and have the ability to work and excel under tight deadlines;
• Build and sustain a collaborative culture and environment that truly demonstrates client service, technology, innovation, professionalism, and teamwork.
