Responsibilities
- Check and record pump pressures, water, electrical meter readings, water levels, telemetric level indicators, and charts and make necessary adjustments using the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system or manual operations.
- Perform water plant operational duties required for the production, treatment and distribution of water to include 11 water reservoirs.
- Perform chlorine, pH, calcium hardness, sodium chloride and fluoride tests of water.
- Determine and make appropriate adjustments to feed rates. Inspect chlorinators.
- Provide preventative maintenance on pumps, motors, valves, meters and injectors. Provide operations and maintenance of sand filtration systems for swimming pools. Perform backwashing procedures.
- Prepare surfaces and paint metal, wood and concrete on equipment, interior/exterior walls, floors, trim and fixtures. Cut grass, weeds, and clear brush.
