Field Service Engineer

Due to continued success and growth NCH / Chem-Aqua are looking to appoint a field based Technical Service Engineer in the South East region, who has experience within the Water Treatment industry.
The position will involve carrying out a variety of tasks at customer sites including installation and servicing of pre-treatment equipment, testing and system sampling and cleaning and disinfection work.

Key Responsibilities
- Undertaking tasks at customer sites including equipment installation and service; cleaning & disinfection work; analytical testing and system sampling.
- Complete installation, commissioning and servicing of chemical dosing units (pumps, controllers, chlorine dioxide etc.) on steam and cooling and process water systems.
- Complete closed loop analysis, water tank and cooling tower cleaning and disinfection, system flushing, acid descaling.
- Carry out bacteria sampling, temperature monitoring and other such environmental hygiene monitoring tasks.
- Accurate and timely completion and submission of any required reporting.
- Identifying business opportunities at existing and prospective customer sites and working with sales team to secure
Ideal Person
- 2 years’ + experience in clean and chlorination of water tasks and cooling towers
- Previous experience in the water treatment industry and pre-treatment systems listed above
- Good knowledge of Water Treatment Health and Safety policies and practices is essential
- Basic plumbing skills / electrical experience is desirable
- Previous customer service experience desirable
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications, using tablets and ‘apps’, customer relationship management software and sales order management systems.
- Must possess a current full UK driving licence
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Results driven and able to work under pressure whilst still achieving results and meeting deadlines
- Flexible as there may be a requirement to occasionally work away from home and at short notice weekends or hours outside of the normal working day.
- Ability to work as part of a team and using own initiative.
