Water Replenishment and WASH projects worldwide
Published on by Heather Baker, President at CLEAN International for CLEAN International
CLEAN International specializes in customizing projects to meet climate and water goals worldwide. Through analysis of specific regions, watersheds and communities, CLEAN International works alongside local and international specialists to design and scale large-scale projects that will have a positive impact for water today and in the future. From the implementation of smart technology like leak-detection and smart irrigation to large scale lake and well restorations, CLEAN International focuses on conserving large amounts of water in measurable ways.
Alongside water replenishment goals, CLEAN International works with partners to identify co-benefits of all projects and implement additional WASH infrastructure and education where possible. From the implementation of rainwater harvesting systems at schools with built-in hygiene stations to the replacement of old faucets and leaking pipes across cities, from the restoration of peatland to the implementation of reuse infrastructure, projects often have multiple co-benefits and CLEAN International outlines and measures these impacts in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
