Professional Engineer – Land Development
CPH is seeking a full-time licensed Professional Engineer with strong organizational, supervision and technical skills to manage all facets of a project including business development, client management, project management, presentations, conceptual design, construction documents, and construction administration.
Duties Include
- Fulfilling requirements as Engineer of Record for the design, permitting and construction administration of projects.
- Preparation of accurate presentation, design, details and construction documents.
- Oversight of project design team including engineers, designers, consultants and clients.
- Collaboration with other firm engineers, architects, disciplines, project managers, and business development teams.
- Research, interpretation and implementation of relevant codes and client requirements.
- Development, implementation and utilization of CPH and client standards and templates.
- Preparation of specifications, review of shop drawings, and construction administration support as Engineer of Record.
- Periodic travel to perform business development, project management, site investigations, and construction observation. Duty includes preparation or review of subsequent reports and exhibits.
- Oversight and assistance with compiling construction plans from all disciplines and submittal to agencies having jurisdiction.
- Oversight and mentoring project Engineers, Designers and Technicians.
- Review of documents prepared by others and implementation of project quality control.
Requirements
- B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering with a P.E. License in the state of Massachusetts. Ability to obtain additional state licensure through reciprocity is a plus.
- 5+ years of US experience in design and permitting public or private projects.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Thorough understanding of project process from concept through construction.
- Ability to consistently exercise good independent judgement in evaluation and determination of design solutions.
- Stormwater management, water distribution and sanitary sewer collection system design experience.
- Effective in providing instruction, teaching and mentoring in a positive and constructive manner.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
- Superior social, communication, written and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively multi-task and work on multiple projects while adhering to project schedules and budgets.
- Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate project deadlines.
- Detail oriented, quality conscious, reliable and self-motivated.
- Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record
