ME3XX Membrane Evaporator

The ME Series of Membrane Evaporators creates a low pressure water vapor stream which can be externally condensed into ultra pure water  (TDS < 10 mg/L).  The key component of the ME3XX Series is the Aqualyte™ nanostructured polymer membrane, which is biofouling resistant and effective in treating a wide variety of wastewater types.

         Industrial wastewater with waste heat available to maintain 60 °C wastewater temperature

         Multiple UF+RO operations can be replaced with one NanoClear system

         High concentration wastewater (petrochemical and other areas)

         Wastewater with high COD (pharmaceutical, chemical processing, etc.)

         Electric power industry (thermal wastewater, flue gas desulphurization, etc.)

 

Key Benefits

    ■ High performance: Treat water with high salt content (TDS up to 250,000 mg/L) or high chemical oxygen demand (COD up to 50,000 mg/L) and pH from 2 to 11.

    ■ Low maintenance: Minimal fouling or scaling, requires very simple pretreatment (20 µm filtration of suspended solids).

    ■ Low Cost: NanoClear offers simple processing and low maintenance at similar capital cost compared to other processes. Reuse of waste heat reduces power consumption, bringing operating costs to $0.24 - $0.58/m3.
