We are looking for a Field Service Engineer, to provide technical and application support to internal, and external sales and customers including OEMs, system integrators, Distributors, and after-sales support (including product selection/support, commissioning, training, troubleshooting, servicing and repair) for Danfoss High-Pressure Pumps products in the North and Central America regions.

This position will not be eligible for relocation benefits.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

•    Provide technical product advice and post-sales support to internal and external customers
•    Work closely with Danfoss High-Pressure Pumps Sales to demonstrate the value of High-Pressure Pumps, Energy Recovery Devices, and Valves.
•    Provide technical support as well as backup to customers on commissioning support (including creating and maintaining customer drawings and specifications), product queries and technical issues, and processing of service/warranty claims.
•    Conduct product training for internal/external Sales, customers, wholesalers, Sales partners, and service partners.
•    Carry out activities in accordance with Danfoss quality procedures.
•    Carry out other duties as may be required from time to time
•    Plan and co-ordinate all resources required for timely completion of routine repair and maintenance activities
•    Plan and manage all engaged external providers, who provide specialized servicing for high-pressure loop qualification and testing activity
•    Provide frontline support for technicians

Background & Skills

Key Requirements:

•    Preferably a minimum of 5 years experience in the desalination industry
•    Minimum Associated technical degree in Engineering or relevant years of industry experience in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electronics & Control System Engineering
•    Independent, self-motivated, self-organized
•    Results-oriented and eager to contribute
•    Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to customers and coworkers.
•    Good communication skills. English and Spanish are mandatory.
•    Knowledge and experience in High-pressure applications (Sea Water Reverse Osmosis as an example)
•    Able to work calmly under pressure – experience in commissioning activities 
•    Travel primarily in North and Central America, the Caribbean. Travel to other regions as needed.
•    Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, sometimes at short notice
