This position is based in Evian (France, 74) and will require some weeks of traveling worldwide during the year.
The Water Stewardship Senior Manager is part of Watershed Sciences & Stewardship team which supports the business units’ growth providing expertise and technical innovation through excellence programs. She/He will report to the Watershed Science and Stewardship director.
The purpose of this role is responsible to play a supportive role in favor to the Water Stewardship implementation plan in Country Business Units with watersheds under physical risk (water scarcity, water quality issues, freshwater ecosystem degradation, flooding) where Danone is operating [e.g. Indonesia, Mexico, Turkey], undertaking various activities such as: supporting the watershed stewardship implementation plan (identifying solutions, reaching out to external partners, co-build business case, set up road map and actions plan); support local to prepare Quaterly Steerco meetings; updating Danone Impact Journey Watershed preservation KPI dashboard; providing technical assistance with projects on the ground; contribute to the WaCE [Water Community of Experts] water stewardship stream animation.
Main missions
Watershed preservation action plan
• Lead with local teams in concerned CBUs ( in prio, Mexico, Indonesia, Turkey, e.g.) the water stewardship action plan (watershed preservation connected to local water governance), via regular meetings, workshops, identifying adequate needs to make it happens in sustainable manner.
• Identify and connect with potential external partners from existing network (experts, institutions, private and public sector, NGOS, funding facilities), exchange with Sustainability Water team for synergy, and finally support local teams in their approach and contacts.
• Perform any other project related activities/duties as required and directed by the Watershed Science & Stewardship director.
Reporting
• Keep the global tracking of watershed preservation action plans in each concerned CBU with adequate and updated dashboards [project progress per watershed, OPEX (from budget to financing), documentation and impact (Greentrack, module SWAN)
• Prepare and update on a regular basis (monthly) documents for different committees at global, regional and CBU level and also per category.
• Support CBU's Sustainability team in setting up presentation for quarterly Steerco meetings and minutes writing.
Communication / Facilitation
• For visibility and boarding colleagues on Danone Impact Journey Watershed preservation axis of the NATURE pilar, write posts on Danone Workplace
• Be part of the facilitation team of the WaCE water stewardship stream, with active contribution all along the year and during event.
