EPAL - Empresa Portuguesa das Águas Livres, SA limited liability company with only public capital, 100% owned by AdP - Águas de Portugal.

EPAL is responsible for a water supply system which stretches for more than 2.100 kilometres, comes from Castelo do Bode reservoir to the city of Lisbon.

Water supply production, transport and distribution is managed by a highly automated SCADA system which centralizes the operation and control of more than 170 facilities, ranging from pumping stations, water treatment plants, reservoirs and pipelines.

EPAL supplies quality water to around 3 million people in 35 districts to the north of the River Tagus, corresponding to a total area supplied of 7.090 Km².

It has contracts with around 350 thousand direct clients in the district of Lisbon, where it provides the domestic supply.
