I am pleased to hear of the assistance Fluence is offering 3rd world countries. It is most certainly needed. No complaints though I do have a thought in regards to being cost effective and being a long term safe and sustainable source of water.  Very basic analysis shows annual rainfall of 80 inches per year. I firmly believe in decentralized water collection, use, bioremediated, and recycled insitu. For this one example the amounts we are discussing is 57 gallons of water per person/per day/ forever.  Cost would be roof, pipe to living unit (or business), collection barrel, disinfecting  black light , piping to areas of home, waste system to waste processing tank, waste recycling microbes pumps to push all in this system. Note: if electrical energy is a problem a bio generator can be put inline next to biodigester to collect electricity from the waste molecular breakdown into elements. Have a small garden at your home or office to accept the bio cleaned waste and have the potable water pumped back into your roof top water storage tank.  Many ways to bring the low costs even lower and increase the long term storage of all items.
