To support the growing needs of Garver’s strategic Water Services, we are seeking an experienced senior infrastructure leader to join our group as an Infrastructure Specialist or Infrastructure Practice Leader and become a leader in Garver’s growing team of water and wastewater research and development professionals.
The Infrastructure Specialist/Practice Leader will have the following capabilities:
- Leadership and support of infrastructure related topics as they relate to our water and wastewater clients regarding recycled and potable water distribution, or wastewater collection
- Be a member of the in-house technology and R&D team to support Garver’s Water Services teams and clients by providing additional expertise during the evaluation, study, modeling, design, delivery, operations, and maintenance of infrastructure projects
- Enhance Garver’s participation in infrastructure related research that are funded by national organizations such Water Research Foundation through collaboration with renowned academic institutions and our clients
- Conduct and direct proposal efforts for obtaining research grants, funding, and project pursuits related to collection/distribution infrastructure
- Participate and lead technical committees and presentations at professional society conferences
Minimum Requirements:
- The successful candidate for this role with Garver will possess the following:
- B.S. and M.S. in civil, environmental, or chemical engineering from an ABET accredited program
- Ph.D. in civil, environmental, or chemical engineering with an emphasis on collection/distribution infrastructure is preferred.
- Ten (10) or more years of similar technical experience with no less than three (3) years’ experience in project/team leadership.
- Credentials to support technical competence and knowledge of relevant issues facing the water and wastewater industry.
- Experience in giving presentations for clients and professional organizations
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
- Affiliation and active participation with organizations such as American Water Works Association, Water Environment Federation, Water Resue Association, and Water Reuse Research Foundation
- Ability to travel as needed
Preferred Skills:
- Experience and interest in pursuing leadership opportunities within professional associations.
- Experience obtaining research grants, funding, and project pursuits related to Infrastructure.
Location: Flexible (has to be willing to travel to various locations throughout the United States)
