You neglected to mention chlorine (HOCl). It also generates hydroxyl radicals when photolyzed in water and actually more efficiently and inexpensively than peroxide!!! And the process is not a significant source of organochlorine byproducts.

Joseph, HOCl can be potentially used in the case where there is low organic matter, however, it does pose significant challenges with its disinfection byproducts in the presence of any NOM!!! This is why it was not mentioned.
