We continue to grow in Europe with numerous new hires and are now looking for a Geotechnical Engineer with experience in any of the life cycles of a mining waste facility (TMF) to join our growing operation in the Nordic region. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary network of experts in our offices in Europe, North America and Australia.

Within Geosyntec's European operations, we work for both private and public clients. Examples of our projects include obtaining environmental permits, soil quality studies, risk assessments and remediation investigations of contaminated sites, environmental strategy consultancy including EIAs and environmental audits, sustainable development and technical services (from exploration to remediation) related to mining.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Together with your colleagues, you will contribute to the construction of our mining business in the Nordic region and across Europe. Your role will focus on the development and review of TMF projects and related tasks, mainly for clients in the mining and industrial sectors, drafting tenders, managing applications from the beginning to the end of any work or project and ensuring that the client is always delivered adequate quality. You will work with different specialists, such as geotechnical engineers, mining engineers, tailing engineers or geologists, and manage and develop assigned junior staff. Experience handling commonly used design software, such as Civil 3D, CAD, Leapfrog, and Muck 3D, will be considered an advantage.

Depending on your experience, training and ambition, you will naturally have great opportunities to shape the role that best suits you and challenges you as an individual, but also develops us as a team and as a company. You will work on a wide variety of projects for our clients, both in the private and public sectors, together with a group of colleagues with 10 to 30 years of experience in the environmental field, both nationally and internationally.
