Senior Water Resources Engineer

Working with our highly successful and talented Newcastle based Water Team this role offers a good variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Delivery and working solutions for a broad range of projects, providing engineering and technical advice to both internal and external clients
- Assessment of water related impacts - hydrologic, flooding and water quality associated with major infrastructure, mining and development projects
- Development of water management plans, surface water management systems and water balance models
- Supporting the management of a variety of small to medium sized projects, mentoring other team members
- Project management of water resources projects, including preparation and review of fee proposals, management resources, budget, risks and health and safety.
What you will bring to the team
We are seeking a highly motivated self-starter, with the desire to progress their career in a technically driven multi-disciplinary setting, with the following key attributes:
- Experience in water resources engineering, environmental modelling, monitoring and management
- Experience with water management in the extraction industry, including mine water balances, will be highly regarded
- A working understanding of water and environmental legislation, both Federal and State, will also be highly regarded
- Proven ability to work cohesively as part of a multi-disciplinary team with well-developed verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, including established skills in preparing reports, delivering presentations, and clearly communicating complex ideas to a range of audiences
- Flexible in your approach to challenges with a proven ability to develop good relationships with internal and external clients, provide high quality work and develop new and repeat business
