Sustainability Manager

GHT Limited, a leading DC Metro area MEP engineering consulting firm located in Arlington, VA seeks a bright and motivated Sustainability Manager with a minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience providing sustainability consulting services in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry.

Candidate must demonstrate proficiency in, and in-depth knowledge of, sustainable rating systems such as LEED, WELL, FitWel, as well as knowledge of Green Construction Codes for the District of Columbia and surrounding jurisdictions. Candidate would be responsible for leading and growing the sustainable programs consulting team at GHT and must demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of guiding and directing multi-discipline design teams to pursue and obtain sustainable certifications for a variety of project types. The position will require consulting to clients on sustainable certification projects and providing in-house support to GHT engineers for LEED and WELL documentation efforts. Candidate will also lead GHT’s internal efforts to benchmark operational carbon footprint and partner with executive team to develop and implement programs and policies which reduce future carbon footprint.

Candidate must be able to present internally to employees and externally to client audiences about sustainable programs and initiatives. Proficiency with AutoCAD is preferred, but not required. Familiarity with reading architectural, civil and MEP engineering drawings is desirable.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should be very familiar with all LEED and WELL rating systems, with particular emphasis on LEED ID+C, LEED BD+C: New Construction, LEED BD+C: Core and Shell, and LEED O+M: Existing Buildings. The candidate selected will be representing an MEP engineering firm and will be expected to develop and/or expand their knowledge and comprehension of MEP systems as they develop in this role.
