Stormwater Engineer

This position will have direct responsibility for hydrology and hydraulics (H&H) projects, including master drainage plans, stormwater analysis and design, dynamic 1D/2D modeling, as well as storm sewer, detention, and stream channel improvement and restoration projects. The candidate will also lead and manage other engineers and professionals, oversee project designs, and interact with clients.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who has the willingness and ability to deliver quality stormwater projects on time and within budget.
Candidates must have:
- Florida Professional Engineering (PE) licensure or nearing licensure.
- 5-10 years of experience in H&H, floodplain analysis, and management of stormwater systems.
- Experience in Florida projects and general knowledge of the state’s stormwater rules.
- Experience in the development of resilient infrastructure design, vulnerability, and adaptation to climate and sea level change.
- Strong technical knowledge, with the ability to manage and develop quality projects and lead/direct staff.
- Experience with 2D H&H modeling (RAS-2D, ICPR, XP-SWMM, EPA-SWMM) and Geographic Information Systems.
- Computer programming for engineering applications preferred.
- Experience with coastal storm surge and wave propagation modeling preferred.
- Positive attitude, self-directed, team player.
