Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Project Manager Engineering, we'll count on you to:

HDR is looking for a qualified project manager to join our growing water team in Northern California to support a large, on-going program management contract with a key client in the SF Bay Area. This important position will work closely with our Program Manager, the program management team, and the client’s team to successfully deliver an exciting ~$1B purified water program.

HDR is a leader in the drinking water and wastewater industry in the Northern California region and supports projects across the western US, as needed. The team has a diverse range of projects including water treatment, wastewater treatment, and one water project, and includes planning, design, construction management, and program management of large complex projects.

Candidates for this position should have experience in managing projects in the water industry, including treatment, conveyance, asset management, and/or program management. Candidates should have strong leadership skills and experience working in collaborative teams and managing a group of diverse professionals. The candidate must have strong writing skills and good internal review processes

In this role, we’ll count on you to oversee tasks related to advanced water purification facilities and pipelines including conceptual design, alternatives analysis, cost estimating, working with other disciplines as needed, develop meeting agendas and presentations, participate in meetings, manage and coordinate resources, etc. Perform other duties as needed

 

Qualifications

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s (minimum) or Master’s (preferred) degree in Engineering or related fields.
  • Project management experience
  • PE license
  • Good leadership and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • 10+ years experience
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

  • PMP
