Job Details
Responsibilities        
  • Utilise computational fluid dynamics (CFD) technical skills and knowledge in the execution of Product Development Programme. This includes modelling new product concepts, conducting feasibility studies to verify capability and functionality, as well as investigating and evaluating existing technologies.
  • Provide support and training to other members in the Product Development Team in the areas of fluid mechanics and CFD analysis. 
  • Maintain and develop the company’s CFD capabilities (software, hardware and methods).
  • Maintain detailed documentation throughout all phases of research and development activities.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge in relevant areas of CFD and related technologies.

Your qualifications, skills and experience   
  • Should hold a degree or higher degree in a relevant field of Science or Engineering and have both the theoretical and practical capabilities to undertake project work of a technical nature.  The post holder should have the ability to quickly assimilate an understanding of the Group’s products and associated engineering principles. In particular, expertise should be held in the application of fluid mechanics theory and CFD simulation.
  • Desirable skills are familiarity with the OpenFOAM CFD code, use of Linux operating systems for High-Performance Computing, and programming competence with Python and C++. Applicants are expected to have 0 - 5 years of industrial experience.
