We are a young and rapidly growing Swiss company, disrupting the world of underwater robotics with the focus on miniaturization, affordability and scale. We develop our own underwater inspection drone platform that has a number of unique technologies, all conceived within the company over the last few years, and we are scaling up production of multiple products. Robotics Software Engineer

Your Responsibilities
Develop and maintain all the core code in our underwater inspection drone system (ROV) called EXRAY. That includes microcontrollers, raspberryPi, and top side computers.
Design and implement reliable communication protocols between multiple devices (EXRAY ROVs and the ground stations)
Develop and maintain drivers for all sensors such as cameras, underwater thickness gauges and acoustic sensors
Interface with the other teams of Hydromea to integrate the LUMA optical modem and the Diskdrive thruster technologies in EXRAY
Test and deploy the complete EXRAY system in a pool setup, in the lake and in trials with customers and R&D partners from many different industries
Develop CI and quality control procedures for all the software stack
Your Qualifications
MSc in Computer Science or Robotics
Programming in C, C++ and python3
Knowledge of ROS (ROS2 preferred)
Experience with Linux systems and command line interface, as well as Git
Understanding of standard communication protocols is a plus (tcp, udp and for lower level uart, CAN, spi, I2C)
Must have Swiss working permit or EU/EFTA/CH citizenship
