About
The Institute of Communications and Computer Systems (ICCS) is a non profit Academic Research Body associated to the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering and belonging to the National Technical University of Athens. ICCS was established in 1989 by the Ministry of Education in order to carry research and development activities in the fields of all diverse aspects of telecommunications, computer systems and techniques and their application in a variety of areas such as transceivers, radar and generally electromagnetic sensors, satellite and wireless communications, electromagnetic phenomena modelling, neural networks, systems, software and hardware engineering, Telematics and multimedia applications, Transport applications, Control systems, Robotics, Biomedical engineering, Electric power Renewable Energy Sources and Distributed Generation and management systems. The personnel of ICCS consists of 10 permanent Researchers, 10 administrative personnel, PhD students – researchers and professors of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. ICCS has conducted research in 698 European projects and in more than 500 national projects.
