CII is organizing the course with ICCW-IITM as the knowledge partners.
Context
Of the total water consumed, 70% is for agriculture, 20% by municipal corporations and 10% by industry, despite accounting for least consumption, manufacturing and service industries have been in the forefront in reducing Specific Water Consumption (SWC). Several National and International benchmarks on SWC have been created by Indian industry in the water intensive sectors of iron & steel, pulp & paper, non-ferrous, chemicals, fertilizers, petrochemicals, pharmaceutical, automobiles and FMCG. Inspite of these, the Indian industry has the opportunity and capacity to further improve its water use efficiency with the latest technological advancements.
