Title: Business Growth Manager.

Position Summary
Itron is looking for an experienced Business Growth Manager for Asia Water Solutions to join our Asia Pacific Customer and Market Enablement team.  
According to Asia Society Policy Institute, more than 700 million people in Asia do not have access to safe drinking water and 1.8 billion people lack access to basic sanitation.  With population growth combined with climate change the pressure on water security as the responsibility of governments will increase. 
This role will be responsible for deeply understanding the market challenges and trends and more specifically the desired use cases of the water industry to tackle water scarcity and quality that improves water security for the future.  In doing so, the role will identify new water solutions pipeline and with the account team for the customer, link disparate positions together to create the value proposition leading to the sale of Itron solutions that underpin these use cases.
The individual will be a highly skilled strategic solution sales specialist experienced in the water industry, with demonstrated experience of linking disparate positions that may range from participating in industry working groups to lobbying governments to prioritize technology investments in water security to identify a go to market model that combines respective strengths to deliver a differentiated value proposition for the customer.

Responsibilities
•    Achieve or exceed defined revenue and bookings quota targets.
•    Develop new pipeline for water solutions.
•    Define, drive and be accountable for the execution of capture plans for that pipeline by collaborating as a team to position Itron as a differentiated alternative.
•    Develop an accurate and up-to-date appreciation of target market state and of the Sellable Addressable Market on a regional basis for Water Solutions.
•    Define current and future state industry use cases that focus on improved water scarcity that align with the addressable market over a planning time horizon that enables Itron to link its solutions to enabling these use cases.
•    Collaborate with Product Management to influence investment in Itron solutions to address emerging use cases to address water scarcity and differentiate Itron.
•    Build up a strong appreciation of the competitive landscape, to form a position of differentiation for Itron.
•    Understand global and regional Industry trends, developments and innovative technologies to leverage these for Itron’s advantage.
•    Identify customer personas and go to market offerings on a regional and sub-market basis.
•    Demonstrate industry thought leadership by developing collateral, presenting at trade events, speaking industry working groups, conferences, symposiums and on-line events.
•    A strong understanding of Solution Selling strategies, tactics and practices.

Qualifications
•    15+ Practical Water Industry experience gained ideally within Asia.
•    10+ years experience with a proven track record of success in complex solution sales or business development.
•    Well-developed written and verbal communications skills and expert in presenting information in easily understood concepts.
•    Strong customer-advocacy skills and a natural ability to form customer relationships quickly and consistently. Experienced in matrix management techniques, with the ability to interact well with the many and varied cultures and working customs within the APAC region.
•    Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience, with a demonstrable willingness to learn and grow within Itron. 
•    Ideally fluent in English and other regional languages.
