The Regional Sales Manager – Northern CA, OR & WA is a key strategic leader for ETwater Smart Controller and Jain Drip Irrigation product growth management. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for sales growth, profitability, analytics and customer elation, requiring attention to detail and strong communication skills. The Regional Sales Manager reports to National Sales Manager and will develop sales plans and monitor performance in territory to achieve territory revenue objectives, including growth in the existing base business and pursuit of new opportunities; promote market awareness of ETwater and Jain products and services and produce a yearly increase in volume of new and repeat customer business. This position requires a high level of personal discipline and motivation including the ability to work with minimal supervision in a strong teamwork environment. The position will require business travel within territory to client locations, dealer locations, and other business related locations as needed.
Essential Duties Include:
- Participate in the planning and establishment of annual sales plans and forecasts
- Achieve goals, meet region sales objectives, and grow business faster than market growth rate
- Differentiate Jain from competition (product superiority, technical advancement, best service/support, aggressive call coverage cycle)
- Develop and facilitate dealer, contractor and specifier product training sessions
- High energy, hands on, well organized manager with superb presentation skills
- Project very professional image that instills confidence and trust
- Ability to successfully prospect for new opportunities
- Develop sales from leads, inquiries and proposal requests
- Analyze sales statistics to formulate strategy to achieve company goals
- Assist distributors and contractors in promoting, seeking out and securing new and repeat business of Jain products
- Communicate marketplace opportunities, status of competition, and new product opportunities to Sales Leadership, Operations and Marketing
- Demonstrate thorough product knowledge of all company products and their application
- Work with marketing on territory specific campaigns to grow business and meet sales objectives
- Actively participate in business development opportunities (trade shows, trade organizations, networking events, social activities, etc.)
- Prepare written reports and records required by management in a timely basis
- Develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with our distributors
- Deliver value added proposals and presentations to customers
- Available to travel within Washington, Oregon and Northern California

Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years relevant sales experience, selling to landscape industry (experience working with dealer networks, calling on end users and specifiers) preferred
- Proven sells management track record (analyzing data, developing sales strategy, proposal development, presenting) that has created demand and maximized sales
- Excellent written and oral interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
- Ability to work in fast paced environment
- Ability to work well under stress and handle multiple tasks
- Willingness to travel to meet sales needs of territory
