Senior Dev Ops Engineer

THE PART YOU WOULD PLAY
This role responsible for designing and implementing DevOps solutions including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, monitoring and observability solutions, and automation across both hardware and software offerings. Using their domain expertise this individual will work with the team to increase quality and reduce friction in software engineering with the aim to shorten the software and systems development life cycle and provide continuous delivery with high software quality.
Essential Job Functions;
- Develop deployment automation for infrastructure and application
- releases
- Foster technical excellence and DevOps culture, with the adoption of
- CI/CD principals within the development team and throughout the
- business
- Support defining branching strategies for the source code appropriate for
- the team
- Promote deployment automation strategies such as feature flags and
- blue/green deployments

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE
- Demonstrated experience in creating pipelines for cloud-based solutions specifically in a hyper scaler cloud environment such as Azure and AWS.
- Comfortable with PowerShell or Bash scripting languages.
- Programming experience within C# or Python languages.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code ( Either Terraform, Azure Bicep or Cloud Formation )
- Experience integrating applications with monitoring and observability solutions like Application Insights or other equivalent services.
- Experience using Docker and containerizing applications.
- Experience using Azure DevOps, Jira and Git.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
