Khavaran Institute of Higher-education (KHI) is a Non-governmental, tertiary institution working under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, Iran. According to the latest statistics asserted by Webometrics organization (www.webometrics.info), KHI has gained the first rank among more than 320 similar institutions in Iran. Also KHI is within top first 70 non medical universities in Iran and has a good rank in whole world. KHI is determined to become an internationally active university by advancing knowledge through researches and by educating students in science, technology, and other scholarly fields that will best serve the country and the world.

Currently KHI offers about 25 different majors and specialties in undergraduate and 8 degrees at postgraduate levels in Civil Engineering, Electrical & Communication Engineering, Architecture and Urban planning. During last 10 years, KHI has programmed and conducted SASTech series of symposiums consisting of more than four commissions and conferences both nationally as well as internationally.
