Kleinfelder has a fantastic opportunity for a Water / Wastewater Project Manager in our New Jersey offices.
The ideal candidate will thrive as a vital part of a resourceful and collaborative water team, working across projects, markets, and offices. This position will help lead, inspire, and support our water resources discipline, and most importantly help to continue to grow our portfolio of work and clients across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions. Our water resources team is a highly integrated group of professionals performing community outreach and engagement, policy analysis, technical assessment, resiliency planning, design, and construction. We embrace a holistic approach to water resource management, and for this position we are specifically seeking a professional with demonstrated experience in engineering and managing successful delivery of drinking water and wastewater infrastructure projects for public and private sector clients.
Specific experience, skills and expectations include:
- Strong team building and communications skills.
- Excellent business acumen with effective financial and risk management skills at the project level.
- Progressive leadership experience.
- Robust experience with the design and construction of potable water, wastewater, and stormwater systems.
- Resourceful and creative problem-solver.
- In-depth knowledge of water treatment processes and experience coordinating the various engineering disciplines involved in the design of treatment plant and distribution system improvement projects.
- Leading technical efforts for planning, studies, budgeting, technical management, coordination of multi-discipline engineering efforts, quality assurance, subcontract management and contract administration.
- Supervising staff and subcontractors to successfully deliver technical projects and providing mentorship to the Team.
- Ability to effectively communicate design concepts to clients, participating in project scoping activities and proposal presentations, and coordinating with clients to ensure an ongoing positive relationship.
- Establishing strong, productive internal collaborative relationships with teammates across multiple offices.
Requirements:
- A minimum of eight (8) years of experience providing technical delivery and project management of water/wastewater projects.
- B.S. in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- Professional Engineering license preferred.
- Solid written and verbal fluency in English.
