As an Intermediate - Senior Civil or Surface Water Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on large-scale world-class projects focussed on conceptual and detailed engineering design and investigations of water related aspects of geotechnical and civil mining infrastructure, maintaining design in accordance with relevant standards, guidelines and specifications. KCB continues to grow and has exciting projects which will allow you to challenge and grow your engineering skills. This role will provide you with excellent technical challenges and the opportunity to work closely with other talented professionals committed to delivering high quality engineering and geoscience services.

This role will give you the opportunity to:

Undertake conceptual and detailed engineering design and investigations of civil, water and mining infrastructure including earthworks, waste rock dumps, tailings storage facilities, drainage, roads, water/sediment dams, etc., maintaining design in accordance with relevant standards, guidelines and specifications.
Prepare and technically review engineering reports, drawings, specifications, bill of quantities and cost estimates.
Undertake project management and client management duties for projects assigned to, or won by you, and complete report writing and presentation needs as projects require.
Coach junior and intermediate staff as required including mentoring, performance management, teamwork and staff development in relation to engineering skills
Provide input into and prepare conceptual detailed engineering designs, engineering studies, feasibility studies and condition assessments
Work closely with clients from concept design through to construction, commissioning and operation stages of the project lifecycle
Build and maintain strong client relationships and work continually to develop business
Work in a wonderful small company culture
Travel within Australia and internationally to various field locations
If you are registered or eligible to register as a Professional Engineer in Queensland (RPEQ), have a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of related experience in the energy, mining or related industries, we want to hear from you!
