K-water wins GLOMO award for AI water technology - UPI.com

Korea Water Resources Corp., known as K-water, said Sunday it won a Global Mobile Award at Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona, gaining international recognition for its artificial intelligence-based water management technology.

The company said it received the award for its smart water network management technology, which uses artificial intelligence to help reduce leaks and improve pipeline stability. K-water said the award is presented in 30 categories by the Global System for Mobile Communications Association, the organizer of the annual event.

K-water has said this year marks the launch of its global push to lead the artificial intelligence transition in water management. After appearing at the Consumer Electronics Show in January, the company also took part in MWC to promote its technology and expand overseas business opportunities.

The company has highlighted three core technologies: a digital twin system for water management that replicates dam conditions in virtual space to support operational decisions, an artificial intelligence-based water treatment plant system and its smart water network management platform.
