Senior Engineering Technician

The Senior Engineering Technician position is to ensure functionality, effectiveness and overall improvement of Metropolitan Water District's (MWD) maintenance practices using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS - Maximo). You would be a considered a lead within the team and expected to possess thorough knowledge of databases and software used for Computerized Maintenance Management as well as maintenance practices and procedures. IBM Maximo experience is preferred including the ability to manage database features in Assignment Manager, Work Order Management, PM scheduling, Job plan development, Routes, the Asset locations and Hierarchy, condition monitoring points as well as adding, developing and modifying system with new tools to meeting changing business environments. As a senior member of the Maintenance Engineering Team, you will also assist engineers and drive maintenance optimization by expanding predictive technologies and condition based maintenance practices such as vibration monitoring, oil analysis, motor circuit analysis etc. across multiple MWD locations and must have a basic understanding of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL language to query Maximo tables to generate reports and development of new reports, dashboards, and trends.
As a successful Senior Engineering Technician, you will support development of Maximo interface and interface platform or similar computerized maintenance systems on mobile devices, develop and train staff to collect asset, condition and other data and input into Maximo and Maximo interface software and other related tasks to improve the work management process.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience: High school diploma or high school equivalency certificate (HSEC), and two years of accredited college OR university in engineering and eight years of relevant experience, two years of which must have been at the Engineering Technician III level.
Relevant Experience is defined as working experience with: Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) including implementing, developing, troubleshooting, training, and report development; mobile applications with CMMS interface
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
License(s): Valid California Class C Driver’s License or equivalent (required at time of application) that allows you to drive during your employment.
