DESCRIPTION
The Water Resources Senior Project Manager is a Seller-Doer that will help grow our Water Resources Practice in the Los Angeles Region. This role includes the implementation of a business development strategy, management of key client relationships, and management of strategic projects to expand our Water Practice in the LA Region. The Senior Project Manager will lead and support marketing efforts, implement business development activities, participate in client engagement activities, facilitate staff development, lead project execution/management, and participate in professional organizations associated with the water/wastewater market in the Los Angeles area.

RESPONSIBILITIES
•Implement a business strategy to grow the Water Resources practice focused on Los Angeles area clients.
•Serve as a Relationship Manager with target Los Angeles area clients such as Metropolitan Water District, LA Department of Water and Power, LA County Department of Public Works, City of LA Bureau of Engineering and Bureau of Sanitation, and/or LA County Sanitation Districts.
•Implement practices to grow the LA Region water resources team including business development, client engagement, and identification of staffing needs.
•Identify target pursuits, implement business development strategies, lead proposal development (win strategy, approach, scope, schedule, fee) lead interview team, and manage client negotiations for various project pursuits.
•Cross-market other discipline services to build internal client base. Support other disciplines that have existing client relationships and leverage those relationships for growth opportunities.
•Support design-build pursuits including strategic pursuit planning, teaming, proposal development and execution.
•Execute target project portfolio of large water resources projects.  Our target water resources project portfolio includes water supply, water treatment, wastewater, conveyance, pumping, storage, and supporting infrastructure from planning through design including design build and/or design-bid-build delivery methods.
•Lead project delivery as full services Senior Project Manager as a technical expert, team leader, and client manager, responsible for project financial performance, scope and schedule management,  quality control, project staffing, and client relationship management.  
•Collaborate with the Santa Ana, Inland Empire, and San Diego office Water/Wastewater team for project staffing, work share, support, and mentorship.
•Professionally represent Michael Baker International with agency staff, clients, contractors, and professional organizations.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
•B.S. Degree in Engineering in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related discipline
•15+ years in Engineering and/or Project Management with 3+ years supervising engineering personnel in Water/Wastewater
•Professional Engineering license in the state of California required. 
•Have excellent communication and writing skills 
•Ability to manage and prioritize project assignments to meet competing deadlines as well as work independently and within a team setting to support project delivery
•A motivated self-starter who displays a passion for solving problems, interacting in a team environment, and meeting established deadlines
