Netafim is looking for a Chief Technology Officer to join the Digital Farming department.
The Edge Systems Chief Technology Officer (CTO), will be responsible for the strategic development and coordination of all Edge software and Control R&D activities.
The CTO will liaise closely with the product management team to understand customer requirements and will lead the identification and exploration of market and technological needs for enabling development of new control and automation products and services accordingly.

A Day in The Life
Work closely with the Product Management team to understand client requirements and develop innovative solutions to address them.
Work closely with the Hardware R&D manager and the Cloud CTO to ensure the Edge software is integrated optimally and seamlessly with other solution components.
Generate and execute the EDGE component of the R&D strategy in line with company’s strategy.
Participate in the definition and development of technical solutions and requirements for R&D projects, ensuring the most cost effective and reliable solution for the project requirements and protecting the interests of the company while assuring the solutions fits company guidelines.
Lead, build and coordinate the development project teams and process to ensure optimal planning and execution, and product quality while balancing scope, schedule and resources
Implement global R&D Technology and Products Road Map, including software, hardware, digitalization, cloud technologies and more.
Represent solutions to customers and internal / external stakeholders.
What you'll need
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related discipline from a familiar institute.
Strong experience building technology roadmap for new products
At least 6 years of hands-on experience in Edge systems.
Deep understanding of object-oriented programing principles.
Experience with software design and ability to build architecture – must
Proven experience in integration between multidisciplinary systems – PLC, cloud
High-Level English communication skills.
Team Player, manage internal employees and external stakeholders
