Beijing Xinxin Oasia and NX Filtration partner to advance water reuse in China's steel industry

NX Filtration has entered into a partnership with Beijing Xinxin Oasia Environmental Protection Equipment Co., Ltd., a leading Chinese provider of industrial wastewater treatment solutions, to deliver an advanced hollow fiber nanofiltration (HFNF) solution for the concentrate water system upgrade of a major steel producer in Northern China.

The project combines Beijing Xinxin Oasia's extensive expertise in industrial wastewater treatment with NX Filtration's direct hollow fiber nanofiltration technology to enable efficient water recovery from complex, high-salinity industrial streams. The installation is designed to support the steel producer in reducing freshwater consumption, lowering wastewater discharge and improving the overall sustainability of its operations.

Industrial concentrate streams generated in steel production are among the most challenging wastewater applications due to their high salinity and complex composition. NX Filtration's HFNF membranes provide an effective solution by selectively removing organic contaminants, colour, specific salts and micropollutants while maintaining high water recovery and low energy consumption. This enables valuable water resources to be recovered and reused within the production process, supporting both environmental and operational performance.

The partnership reflects the growing demand for advanced membrane technologies that help industries transition from conventional wastewater treatment towards circular water management and resource recovery.

"We are proud to partner with Beijing Xinxin Oasia on this important industrial water reuse project," said Shaohua Hu, Country Manager China at NX Filtration.  "By combining our hollow fiber nanofiltration technology with Beijing Xinxin Oasia's strong engineering capabilities and local market expertise, we can help industrial customers address increasingly stringent environmental requirements while reducing water consumption and operating costs."

Mr.Liu Yijie, Vice President, Beijing Xinxin Oasia, added: "This partnership represents an important milestone in bringing advanced international membrane technology to China's industrial wastewater market. Together with NX Filtration, we are providing an innovative solution that supports the green transformation of the steel industry through efficient water reuse and resource recovery."

The project further strengthens NX Filtration's presence in the Chinese industrial market and demonstrates the increasing adoption of hollow fiber nanofiltration technology for challenging industrial water applications worldwide.
