As Product Manager(m/f) Red Mud Solutions, you will:
- Give technical sales support and participate at technical negotiations with clients during sales/execution and contract close out phases
- Design, engineer and plan red mud processing plants including Outotec’s proprietary settler washer and filtration processes.
- Perform project work during the engineering process of new plants
- Coordination with internal and external stakeholders
- Continuously improve and optimize technology of existing plants
- Constitute an interface to R&D department
- Lead hot commissioning activities.
- Develop and implement a competitive technology and product portfolio including clear value proposition addressing both high-end and mid-range customer base
- Ensure that continuous product development and management
- Participation on marketing and selling strategies for this technology
- Participation/support on the implementation of a competitive supplier and manufacturing network
- Ensure successful day to day operational execution delivering high performance, strong customer relationships and improved customer satisfaction
- An academic degree in chemical, process or mechanical engineering from a technical college or university and a track record of minimum 10 years of relevant experience in project work preferably in metallurgical or hydrometallurgical processes
- Process and Mechanical experience in Red mud handling sections of the Bayer Process
- Experience in management of technology, product development and rollout
- Proficient working experience in a team environment with cross-functional groups
- Fluency in English, German is a plus
- To possess a high work ethic and is enthusiastic about high-level and complex technology solutions in chemical engineering, process engineering
- Frequent amount of international travel
- Proven track record in strategic thinking with excellent drive and skills to execute
- Excellent understanding of customer needs in addition to business and industry understanding
- Ability to support and coach others to build success together
- Strong understanding and ideally background in both capex and service business
