Summary:

Pentair is currently seeking a Research and Development Scientist to join our Treatment Center of Excellence Department. The role involves supporting engineering evaluations and feasibility studies for water disinfection projects, filtration, media optimization and sensor development. The candidate will analyze data to identify potential issues or improvements and stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in water treatment technology. The candidate will conduct performance tests on products and prototypes using test stands and analytical instrumentation according to work instructions or experimental plans. Key Responsibilities:

• Engineering Support : Assist in engineering evaluations and feasibility studies for various projects.
• Prototype Testing:  Evaluate and test prototypes and products, including membranes, new media, and sensors.
• Strong knowledge of  water and wastewater treatment processes , including physical, chemical, and biological treatment methods.
• Excellent analytical  and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex engineering issues.
• Trend Evaluation:  Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in water disinfection.
• Strong project management skills , with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication  and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and engage with clients and stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in design calculations, cost estimates, and technical documentation.
• Documentation -Develop and maintain project documentation, including reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Data Analysis:  Analyze data to identify potential issues or improvements.
• Inventory Management : Maintain laboratory inventory management.
• Safety Compliance:  Ensure compliance with laboratory safety procedures and standards.
• Professional Development:  Commit to continuous learning and professional development in the field.

Qualifications:

• B.E/ B.Tech./MTech. (Chemical/Biochemical, Environmental Engg).
• Two years of experience in RnD of water treatment or disinfection projects or media optimization or membrane filtration is preferred.
• Sensors, Activated Carbon, Adsorbents, and/or Filtration experience preferred.
• Specific Skills: MS office, Basic Engineering knowledge -PFD, PNID, Mass balance etc
• Proficiency with computers and scientific equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in statistical data analysis.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and standards.
• Excellent organizational and inventory management skills.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
• Excellent communication skills,
