Perkins Engineering Consultants, Inc. is currently seeking applicants for a Project Manager position with 5-20 years of experience in our Arlington, Texas office. The successful candidate will work on challenging and unique projects in the water and wastewater field. The candidate should have knowledge and experience in treatment facilities, hydraulics (pumped and gravity), new construction and rehabilitation, permitting, utility coordination, and constructability. Facilities will include water storage, water and wastewater pumping, storage, and treatment for both large and small utilities. Multi-disciplined construction administration experience is specifically sought. In addition, the candidate should be able to perform tasks that support project activities through the application of engineering principles and techniques and assist in the completion of design drawings and specifications. Salary competitive depending on experience and work history. Strong written communications skills and experience with water and / or wastewater treatment and conveyance design or construction is required. Texas PE or ability to obtain within 90 days is required. Part-time position may be considered for candidate with strong credentials. Performance bonus program rewards strong contributors.

Responsibilities:
Manage projects from conception through construction including the management of project schedule and budget, coordination between subconsultants, prime consultant, and clients, and the management and delegation of work to Project Engineers, EITs, and CAD designers as directed by the Principal Project Manager
Key focus will be on construction support for the first year, with concurrent design assignments
Design and construction assistance with both public and developer-financed water and wastewater pumping and treatment facilities
Successfully apply technical engineering planning and design skills to assigned projects
Interact professionally with client and project team members
Effectively deal with and resolve project tasks and issues
Consistently maintain client satisfaction that results in potential opportunities and excellent Company references
Organize, draft, compile and coordinate production of assigned project documentation and reports
Complete data analysis for conceptual planning and design, prepare design drawings and specifications, complete hydraulic analyses and modeling, and solve design problems as required
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Construction Engineering
5+ years of experience in design and report writing for water / wastewater projects
Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas or eligible to become licensed TX PE within 90 days
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Preferred Skills:
Master's degree in Civil or Construction Engineering
2+ years in a Project Management role

The Project Engineer will be a part of a team responsible for performing field evaluations and producing all aspects of a design project including reports, technical memos, specifications, drawings, and potentially coordinating with various governmental agencies.

Registered as an Engineer Intern (EI) or eligible to take the FE exam within 6 months.
Strong communications skills
Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Preferred Skills:
Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
2+ years of experience related to water / wastewater engineering
Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE), eligible to become licensed PE within 6 months, or have taken and passed the PE exam (awaiting experience when testing and experience has been decoupled)
