Like any task that has a defined degree of difficulty break it down to doable steps. #1 is to STOP, doing what you are currently doing, #2 initiate new concepts or systems integration , #3 have  a useful plan where the byproducts of your deeds will go to do the most good for the larger picture.  For an example All waste to compost to soils and forests, builds up soil fertility. with unified effort begin returning  the Sahara forest back to its former self.  Estimated time line 5 years for fertile 5 more for establishing a sustainable forest.  (look up the old Sahara river  that came from lake Victoria to Algeria to the Med. )
