You will join our Water Resources Team within our Water Market
As our new member of the team, your key tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Provide technical leadership and expertise to the team in groundwater and hydrologic concepts.
- Prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and technical documents summarizing findings, recommendations, and regulatory compliance efforts.
- Identify and pursue business opportunities.
- Engage in professional development activities, including attending conferences, workshops, and training sessions, to enhance skills and knowledge in relevant areas.
- Guide data compilation, quality screening, digitization, and data management in the development of 3D hydrogeologic conceptual models Lead team in use of advanced groundwater modeling software to simulate groundwater flow, assess aquifer sustainability, and forecast future groundwater conditions, incorporating variable climate scenarios.
- Lead a team in conducting hydrological investigations to evaluate surface water-groundwater interactions, identify potential sources of contamination, and assess the impacts of climate change on groundwater availability.
- Provide technical expertise and support to stakeholders, including government agencies, water districts, environmental organizations, and community groups.
Your starting point for constant growth
As our new Senior Hydrogeologist/Engineer, you take a leadership role in our team of subject matter experts leading geophysical surveys, basin characterization, and groundwater modeling in California and the western United States. For this role, your starting point is:
- Strong understanding of project delivery tools and metrics, and a proven history leading project delivery teams to successfully meet client expectations and supporting project teams.
- Demonstrated success with client service and business development with strong existing client relationships.
- Attributes that include excellent oral and written communications, self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, strong data analysis and technical problem solving, and a strong organizational approach.
- Proven track record in developing and maintaining strong client relationships that result in the creation and procurement of new and repeat consulting work.
- Demonstrated business development and leadership capabilities.
- Experience in collecting and interpreting geophysical data and development of hydrogeologic conceptual models.
- Experience performing quality assurance and control aspects of 3D hydrogeologic interpretations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex hydrogeological data and communicate findings effectively.
- Adept at interpersonal relationship building, conflict resolution, and leading diverse teams.
Ideally the candidate will have:
- Bachelors degree in hydrogeology, geology, geophysics or related engineering discipline with 15+ years experience in groundwater.
- Advanced degree highly desirable.
- Licensure as a professional hydrogeologist, professional geologist, or related professional engineer discipline in the state of California strongly preferred.
- Expert familiarity with California water regulations and laws, including development of groundwater sustainability plans in compliance with state and local regulations, including the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) in California.
