The Advisory Group Industry & International’s main focus is providing solutions for the industry waste water treatment, process water and cooling water systems, water optimization studies related to core processes, sewer systems, water recycling and zero liquid discharge.

The function:

As process engineer industrial water you work on projects in both the Netherlands and abroad (short term missions mostly). You act as specialist and consultant and/or project manager, depending on the complexity of your projects.

You have proven experience as process engineer and you are enthusiastic and eager to participate and learn from a technological perspective, in small and large projects such as: feasibility & system selection studies, pilot research, design & engineering, realization, operations & maintenance, asset management and evaluations & benchmarks.

As process engineer you have expertise of biological waste water treatment, physical/chemical treatment, sludge and resource management, circular water/integrated water and smart water. You have a sense for innovation and digitization and development of new businesses. As project manager you are also responsible for internal management of budgets, risks, planning, contacts with clients and contract management. You attract clients with your added value and you actively contribute to our external business development by using your own network and contacts.

You usually work in project teams on challenging and complex issues in different project phases: feasibility, pilot testing, design and implementation, realization and operation and maintenance. Your natural attitude is to find a balance between focus on efficiency and to search for innovative and sustainable solutions. You are eager to contribute based on your technical competence and your passion and drive to find these sustainable solutions.

•  You have >4 years of relevant work experience.
• You have a bachelor (Bsc) or master of science (MSc) degree in Chemistry, Chemical engineering, Chemical Technology, (Micro) Biology, Biochemical Engineering or Environmental Technology.
• You have strong reporting and communication skills, at least in English and Dutch
• You have experience with and passion for projects in process engineering of water and waste water systems with the ambition to develop to thought leader
• Development of new and innovative business is in your DNA and you own strong analytical competences.
• You have a good sense for commercial business and a strong external network and contacts in this sector.
• You have a collaborative approach and enthusiasm in working together as team player with colleagues and clients.
• You are stress resilient and flexible and are eager to travel abroad regularly.
