About
Safe Water and AIDS Program (SWAP) is operating in Western Kenya since 2005 in collaboration with the Ministry of Health with public health programs, research and emergency response. SWAP has a distribution model of health products including household water treatment and storage, ceramic filters and hygiene products. SWAP set up a safe water enterprise with skyhydrant filtration. SWAP established a research department in 2007 and has since undertaken over 30 effectiveness studies evaluating health and economic impact of health interventions, technologies and products. A water lab supports the research for quality water testing.
