Senior / Technician, Facility (Waste Water Management)

We are looking for a Technician who specialized in waste water management to assist the formulation and implementation of initiatives and programs in water resources development and management in line with SHDS projects. It is their role to maintain and repair all equipment to ensure good water quality.
In this role, you make regular visits to test the water quality, ensuring that the pH control systems are working and that the chemical levels are appropriate. It is essential to calibrate your equipment correctly and perform these tests regularly as any quality contaminant issue can have a serious impact on the environment.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
In your new role you will:
- Compile data using Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system & software
- Accountable for the day to day operations of the wastewater treatment and recovery facility
- Meticulously execute process sampling to accurately gauge and monitor levels
- Monitor wastewater operations
- Assist operating management in the installation and maintenance of environmental compliance measures required under local regulations
- Perform basic maintenance, repair, and calibration
- Promptly troubleshoot process, instrumentation, data, and mechanical problems
- Analyse instantaneous and historical data to decide and act on needed process/operational adjustments (demand, chemical dosage, process adjustments)
- Maintain and monitor equipment for potential failures and conduct repair or adjustments as needed.
- Collect water samples for chemical analysis
- Ensure compliance with International Organization for Standardization (ISO)
REQUIREMENTS
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- GCE ‘O'’N’ Level and/or equivalent / Nitec/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and /or related knowledge in Electrical & Electronics Engineering/Chemical Process Technology can apply.
- Preferably with some Water/Waste Treatment working experience.
- Proficient in MS Office
