BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Skat Consulting Ltd. (Skat) is an owner-operated leading Swiss company specialising in international cooperation. We support governments, the private sector and civil society around the globe in improving
people’s lives by facilitating lasting solutions in water, building, energy, and governance.
Our work in water focuses on consulting, project implementation as well as networking and knowledge
exchange for Water, Sanitation and Hygiene and Integrated Water Resources Management.
WHAT WE OFFER
We are looking for a Junior Water Expert to support our water team in our ongoing exciting projects
and in developing new projects and business. The position is suitable for recent graduates with a few
years of professional experience. With this position, we provide graduates with an entry opportunity in
international cooperation in a dynamic consulting company with a highly cooperative atmosphere.
The workplace will be in St. Gallen (close to the train station). Home office is possible. Planned starting
date is as soon as possible or upon agreement.

YOUR MAIN TASKS
Contribute to our Backstopping Mandate to SDC’s water network RésEAU, including organisation and facilitation of learning and exchange activities in the water network
Contribute to other ongoing water related projects.
Participate in business development, e.g. support developing new business models, prepare project proposals for tenders
Management of own projects within 1 -2 years after joining Skat Consulting AG
REQUIREMENTS
University (Master) degree in a field relevant to the position (such as. environmental sciences,
water engineering, hydrogeology, geography, international relations etc.).
Good understanding of the global water challenges and strong interest in international cooperation
Strong communication skills and team player
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
Excellent English skills are mandatory. Any other languages (e. g. German, French) are an additional asset
2 years or more of prior experience in international cooperation and working abroad (including
internships)
Intercultural competences and gender sensitivity are required
