Group Vision
To position the SWAN Smart Metering Group as the go-to global platform for any utility seeking to understand, implement, or evolve their smart metering strategy from foundational planning to advanced applications.
Guiding Principles
- Transforming Water, Together: Align with SWAN’s new tagline by emphasising practical content that speaks to utilities at every maturity level.
- Tiered Learning Paths : Structure topics in tracks so members can identify where they fit (i.e., AMR • AMI • Analytics).
- Tangible Outputs: Every call should lead to something concrete (i.e., a call summary, infographic, or template)
- Utility-Centric, Vendor-Supported: Enable utilities to lead storytelling, with vendors providing technical insight and innovation.
Strategic Goals
- Grow Group Engagement: Excite existing members and attract new members.
- Bridge the Maturity Gap: Create pathways for early-stage and advanced utilities to engage meaningfully in the same group.
- Feature Underrepresented Utilities: Actively seek stories from small to mid-sized utilities to balance previous content.
- Break Down the Playbook: Turn sections of the Smart Metering Playbook into usable outputs—infographics, top 10 lists, etc.
CoP Leadership:
