Postdoc in Large-Scale Hydrology and Regional Runoff Models

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral researcher. at the Stagge Hydrology Lab.

The successful candidate will conduct research in  large-scale hydrology and regional runoff models . The position contributes to several areas of ongoing research including, but not limited to: simulating historical runoff in the Nile basin and simulating soil moisture for selected large watersheds in the US. The candidate will also be encouraged to develop their own research questions.

Requirements  Ph.D in Civil Engineering, physical geography or related fields; strong written and oral communication skills; proven record of high productivity.

Desired Skills  Experience in gridded hydrologic models (e.g. VIC), climate model output, and statistics preferred.

The position is available as early as January 1, 2021 or starting in Summer 2021, for the duration of one year, with extension to a second year, depending on satisfactory performance and funding availability.
