Apply your passion for environmental sustainability and implement projects that deliver improved water quality, aquatic habitat and waterways amenity in the Tweed. Your focus will be on project delivery in diverse and beautiful habitats ranging from the upper catchment tributaries, to tidal wetlands and urban stormwater systems; and you will lead the delivery of integrated environmental management programs.

We are seeking:
- Bachelor of Science or other relevant degree level qualification
- experience in environmental rehabilitation, with a focus on delivery of projects leading to improvements in water quality and aquatic ecosystem health
- experience working with rural land owners to achieve improved natural resource management
- strong skills in communication and experience in project management

Essential:
1. Degree level qualifications such as Bachelor of Science or other relevant tertiary qualification and significant practical experience in applying the principles of stream geomorphology and stream bank rehabilitation.
2. Demonstrated experience in environmental rehabilitation, with a focus on delivery of projects leading to improvements in water quality and aquatic ecosystem health.
3. Demonstrated experience in working with rural landowners to achieve improved natural resource management.
4. Demonstrated experience in working with contractors, including preparation of briefs, evaluation of quotes and supervision of work outcomes.
5. Experience in supervising the work program of a bush regeneration crew working across multiple sites.
6. Demonstrated high level written and oral communications skills.
7. Current Vehicle Licence – Car or Light Rigid or Medium Rigid or Heavy Rigid or Heavy Combination.
Desirable:
8. A clear understanding of the legislation and government agency responsibilities relating to Sustainability and Environment in NSW, including opportunities relating to grant funding and community participation.
