We are looking for an experienced and talented Principal – Water Quality to provide strategic direction on existing and emerging Water Quality regulatory issues and project initiatives to ensure compliance with the Drinking and Wastewater Quality Frameworks. You will be at the forefront of driving water quality risk management through high-level cross corporation initiatives to achieve better outcomes for our customers. We are looking for a go-getter! The successful Principal will be an all-rounder with a breadth of skills and knowledge, versatility, flexibility, and self-reliance. They will be comfortable with complex accountability and be able to work proactively and autonomously, while communicating clearly. This work is technically interesting dealing with water and wastewater state-wide, where you will feel empowered in making a positive difference to our communities. In the first few months, you will develop clear work programs, showing your high level of organisation. Within the following 12 months, you will delivery water quality management improvements through delivery of the project work and initiatives. This is a fixed term role until 1st May 2026 . We will consider full-time as well as substantial part-time employment. The must-haves! ·Tertiary qualification in engineering or scientific discipline or alternative relevant experience. ·Substantial experience at driving business change. ·Experience in Water Quality Management and/or operations and/or asset management. ·High-level influential skills and stakeholder engagement. ·Exceptionally organised, high-level reporting and analytical skills. ·Last but not least, you must be a team player and culturally on the ball! The fundamentals of the role: Develop and review corporate water quality processes and drive implementation with stakeholders. Raise the profile of water quality within the Water Corporation and influence relevant stakeholders including but not limited to Department of Health (DoH), Department of Water and Environmental Regulation DWER, the Office of the Minister for Water, DMP, JITSI, DPaW, AWA and WSAA Lead and actively engage and maintain relationships with DWER and DoH on Strategic Water quality issues to drive industry and Government alignment.
