About the role:
This role will provide a specialist engineering and scientific technical advice and support service to wastewater treatment operations throughout the Corporation under the general guidance of the Team Leader – Wastewater Treatment..
What the role will offer:
- Undertake scientific and engineering investigations of wastewater treatment technologies across the state
- Undertake site-based support for wastewater treatment plants
- Provide support in the planning and execution of process commissioning activities for new, upgraded, modified or incident deployed wastewater treatment assets
- Contribute to the provision of specialist advice to planning and engineering business units on wastewater treatment process requirements for new or upgraded treatment plants
- Perform the routine review of wastewater treatment plant performance against performance criteria
Key skills and experience:
- Tertiary qualification (Degree level or higher) in relevant scientific or engineering field
- Knowledge and experience in wastewater treatment process design, operations, troubleshooting, chemistry or related laboratory and analytical services
- Demonstrated knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and technologies
- Demonstrated experience in technical report writing and preparation of standards and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical mentorship to develop staff in wastewater treatment knowledge.
